Much of where we will catch the biggest fish is a catch-and-release area. However there are many spots we can venture to so that you can take home a limit for dinner. If you decide to keep fish you will need to bring a cooler and tools to clean the fish.
The Ozark Mountains are plentiful with wildlife, no matter the season. You will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of deer, turkeys, wild pigs, eagles and their babies, beavers, otters, minks, and more!
Yes! Rest assured your captain will remain sober and ensure your safety while you enjoy your beverage of choice. Please note that glass containers/bottles are not permitted on the river. Some beer as well as soda and water will be provided, but please feel free to bring your choice of drink in addition!
Water flow can be unpredictable at times. Any season can have high or low water. If water is unusually high, such as generation + open flood gates, fly fisherman can be offered a rain check. The amount of water generation directly impacts the physical length of the trip. For example, if a lot of water is being generated you can expect to spend half of the trip on Norfork and the other half on White River. On the flip side, if water is at minimum flow then plan on spending all trip on the Norfork (which is ideal for fly fisherman).
You will want to bring your own food and snacks for the day. If you're fly fishing please bring your own rod that you are comfortable using. If there is any chance of a light rain you will want to prepare with some rain gear. If you have any questions about additional items you'd like to bring please be sure to ask the captain when you call and book your trip!!
